Effective August 2026
LeadForMe is a Vancouver, BC business offering marketing services and sales lead intelligence to local businesses. This policy explains what personal information we handle, why, and the choices you have. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and BC's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
For our outreach program we collect business contact information that is already publicly available — business names, business email addresses, business phone numbers, mailing addresses, website URLs, and publicly posted details about the goods and services a business offers. Sources include BC public records (such as municipal business-licence registries) and the business's own published web pages.
When you contact us or become a customer, we also collect what you give us directly — your name, email, billing details, and the content of your messages.
We use business contact information to research a business, prepare a sample of work (such as a website or promo reel), and send a limited number of relevant outreach emails about our services — lead-gen and done-for-you marketing. We use directly-provided information to deliver services, process payments, provide support, and meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for automated decisions that produce legal effects about you.
When an authorized customer or sales representative signs in to the LeadForMe portal, we record limited account activity needed to operate, secure, and improve the service and to review the sales workflow. This includes the account ID, account email, role, portal pages visited, and specific actions such as viewing an assigned lead, clicking a contact method, changing a lead status, exporting assigned records, building a shortlist, or creating and copying an invite link.
For security and reliability we also record sign-in successes and failures, requests that were blocked because an account lacked permission, the names of assistant actions that were run, and failed operations. Pages are recorded at the route level only: web address query strings are discarded and record identifiers in a path are replaced with a placeholder. A failed sign-in for an address with no matching account is recorded without that address.
We use PostHog as a service provider for this analytics. We do not send lead names, lead phone numbers or email addresses, call notes, search text, passwords, or invite-link tokens to PostHog. Session replay, keystroke capture, screen recording, and audio recording are not used. Analytics access is limited to people who need it, and these records are retained only while they are useful for the stated purposes.
Sales representatives are told about this monitoring before access is issued. They may ask what account analytics we hold about them or challenge its accuracy by contacting us below. Analytics is one input to human review; we do not use it for automated employment decisions.
Our commercial emails comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every message identifies us, includes our mailing address, and provides a one-click unsubscribe link. Where we rely on published business contact information, we send only messages relevant to that business's role, and we keep a dated record of where the address was published as proof.
Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email — it takes effect immediately. You can also email hello@leadforme.ca and we will remove you within 10 days, as CASL requires. Once you unsubscribe, we suppress your business across our entire system and will not email it again.
We keep send logs and consent proof (the record of a message we sent and where an address was published) for three years, which is the CASL evidence-retention period. Suppression records are kept indefinitely so that an unsubscribed business stays unsubscribed. Other information is kept only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, then deleted.
Information is stored in access-controlled systems. We limit access to what is needed to run the service and use reputable infrastructure providers with encryption in transit.
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we must retain for legal compliance). Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
